Mod suggestions

Hey. So I'm new to this website and I'm just learning to mod, but I have an idea, and I was kind of wanting help. I only have one friend who plays, and I don't see him all that much, so I decided to ask here. Okay, here goes nothing. It's supposed to be kind of like an expansion pack, with several different ideas in it. Most of them are going to be related to what you can do within your own civilization. Of course, it will have stuff relating to other civs, but mostly what's inside your own borders. What I'm looking for right now is ideas on what should go in it, as I feel it's a bit sparse. Any form of graphics for it would also be nice, or an explanation on how to make them, as I have no clue. If anyone could help, that would be great.

Anyways! No, it's not ready, far from it. But I'd like to ask if anyone would like to join a contribution team for it, to help make it. Two heads are better than one, or three, or four, or five . . . Just PM me and I'll see about it.

New Leader Traits
Amiable - +2 Relationships with other leaders; Double produciton speed of Broadcast Tower and Public Transport. (The buildings are changeable, wasn't really sure.)
Deceitful - +2 Espionage Points in all cities; Double production speed of Intelligence Agency, Jail, and Security Bureau. (I like this one.)

New Game Concepts
Ethnic Cleansing - Select a civilization race or religion to remove, spend gold to get rid of it. Lose population equal to percentage of lost. To select race or religion to remove, must have total percentage in one city equal to at least one population. Slavery prevents loss of population. If done to full extent, happiness in all cities. If not, unhappiness in all cities. Diplomatic relations with other countries of the civ or religion you persecute (for lack of a better term) are hurt. (Controversial, I know. Can you tell the percentage of religion in a city?)

Civil War/Revolution - If more than half of your total population is unhappy, civil war is declared. A third of your total cities secede and are at war. Capitol cannot secede. One seceding city is randomly selected to be the capitol of the seceded nation. Leader is randomly selected from leaders not participating in the current game.

Civic Wonders - Civic Wonders would be national wonders that only work when you implement a certain civic, such as slavery or nationalism. The best example I can think of is a senate building for representation, and it would give some big bonus. Ideas on this would be great.

New Units
Marauder - Land based privateer, so other countries cannot tell who's it is. Stats: :strength: - 7; :move: - 1; :hammers: - 60; Requires - metal working, copper or iron; Upgrades - None; Abilities - Hidden nationality, Can attack, destroy improvements, and blockade roads without declaring war, starts with Commando.

I really like some of these ideas (Marcus Aurelius - nice!)

Quick things:
1) There are plenty of graphic packs on this site, which could be easily integrated wholesale into a mod.
2) I REALLY like your ideas for new traits, especially Deceitful (I'm thinking Stalin = Dec/Ind)
3) I think the idea of removing religions has been done, but I'm not sure (though i know there are no percentages for religion in cities). Ethnic cleansing is a new idea though. I am confused about the happiness part of it. Does that mean that your cities will become happy if you remove all other cultures? And while other cultures are there, you receive unhappiness based on percentages of culture?
4) An idea for the concept of revolution, each Civ should have a list of people that could spring up as leaders for it (based on cultural similarities and not of the same civ), and the computer would pick the highest leader not playing on the list (not sure how to code this, however). For example, if i were, say, Victoria, and part of my empire broke away, the first leader that would lead them would be Washington, followed by Lincoln and the Roosevelt. Just for some historical accuracy ;)

imho 'Diplomatic' is more suitable name. fits for hiler btw. quite weak as it is, espionage missions discount could be added.

I like it too.
I made very similar Despotic trait for my games: +2 :espionage: per city, jails, intelligence agencies double production, free promotion 'chastener' (revolution protection) for mounted units.
Stailin, Mao and Qin Shi Huang are despotic.

Ethnic Cleansing - Select a race or religion to remove
an inquisitor unit is presented in several mods. it can remove a certain religion from city. ethnical cleansing is interesting. I think it must entail diplomatic penalty and unhappines to cities where this nationality is presented.

I like the idea for the list of people who can be leaders. And yeah, I wasn't sure on how much I should add. I couldn't really think of anything else, either. Cleansing should relate to diplomatic relations, can't believe I forgot about that.

My reasoning on the happiness was it kind of binds your people together, like the Nazis, did. They persecuted non-Germans, so all the German people kind of bound together, resulting in a feeling of unity or happiness. I'd kind of like some other reason to do, as right now, besides just wanting to have your civ do that, the only reason I can find for doing it is a last ditch effort to make all your cities happy.

Yeah, I think Stalin would drop one of his current traits for Deceitful, as he really was quite. And now, a noob moment: :spear: It's so weird and funny!
 
Added in Civic Wonders section. And I thought of a new building, Concentration Camp, or some other such name. -75% cost to cleanse city. Didn't put it in as I haven't thought of everything for it yet.

Haha oh geez. A bit controversial, but yeah, it does make sense.
 
How about a "robber" unit. This would be a land-based version of a privateer. They could roam the country side an kill off weaker units. A way of attacking foreign units without having to declare War. They would have to avoid cities, where they would be very visible and killed easily.

Ooh, I like it. Maybe a different name, like "Brigand" or "Marauder," but I like it.

Okay, I've got it in. The techs that allow it should be scrutinized, as that was just off the top of my head, but I'm not really sure. Kind of supposed to be a middle ground of Maceman and Swordsman, perhaps upgrade to same as Maceman and change to later techs?
