[mod] The Song Of The Moon 2

I have a suggestion, if it's not too hard, a 7z, rar, or zipped copy of the Mod without the Self Extractor or the Pak Build.

And at what resolution do you normally use? I use 1680x1050, 32bit color.

what kind of downloader is THAT???

It wants me to install all that sh*t... Sorry, I do not trust it at all, get all kind of warning messeges and it just keeps asking "do you want to install/use ..." all kind of crappy programs.

It's just: I only recently reinstalled my whole System, and until now I was kind of happy that it is clean... and then my Firewall just went crazy.

Yeah, If you still would be willing to share a link to download the mod, I would be happy.
Just tried your "Barsoom" Mod, unfortunately it crashed. But it looked nice and very promising! So I understand, that this one here does not really have priority...

You have to use Custom Scenario to play the barsoom mod. I've been testing it for keldath and I've had no CTDs as long as you use Custom Scenario, not Custom Game or Play Now.

Balancing I can do myself, if I like it enough to play it severel times ;-)
Now I'm in kind of a "trying out new things" mood, so yeah, I would like to have a look at sotm2!

Barsoom: no, I used the scenario, first round was loaded, I could build my city, had a look around the tech tree... and when I ended the first turn: ctd.
 
It's the cost of being a modder I suppose. ;)

ok, after a long long time,
i updated song of the moon 2 to version 1.3

now the mod is based on kmod 1.40
i also added some key modparts that affect game play.
also added some of the great platypang python mods.

i did some auto plays to make sure stability, i believe the mod is playable, i get a python error on start game - but i think its because i removed some stuff that the world builder uses (its does not affect game play).

hope you like this mod,
for now im not going to develop it, im mostly focused on my similar mod - barsoom.

This mod and I just do not get along! I still can not get it to load. It does Not want me to play it. It's getting personal between me and Song. :mad:

Get this far (screenshots) and then when I click the last Go/OK it goes black screen and then I get the windows pop up Civ IV has stopped working.

There is the initial savegame in auto save but it won't load either.

aha, ok,

when you click start , do you see the generating map bar? or does it crash a moment b4?

either way - i believe its an art/map problem, something i have, you and other users, dont have.

try to start on custom game - you should see only 2 map types, archipelago and dune one.

see if you get a crash.

its 100% art/map problem. im sure of it.

help me more so i can solve this issue.
 
CTDs right before the map bar shows up.

In the second screen shot you will see I was using the Arrakis map as the NASA. Which by the way when you select it from the list pushes all the selections over till you only see the button and 1st letter. There was another one that does this too. Most do not.

Is Marathon the only gamespeed? That is all that shows up anyway.
