has anyone looked into how modbuddy packages a project, or have any information on to manually do it? is the generated ID even important or are the MD5 all that's required to make a mod valid?

modbuddy IMO is overbloated crapware. it lags on everything, alt tab, ctrl f, ctrl v / c, page down/up, ctrl home/end... but at least i can get the start/end of my line instantly with end/home. my last instance with it, whenever i alt tabed it froze and showed me a screenie of that siam civ5 leader!!! the horror!! ok so maybe im leading into this with 'uuh its a video driver!' ya maybe.. but a video driver issue with a text editor?

well off the tangent but it would be really great if there's any info out there on how to package our own stuff. i am grateful we got these cool tools, but i'd like to do it my own way like before you know?

i'm guessing its just simply make the checksums and voila! but that unique id thing always threw me off from getting into it.
