A short time ago I made a female Native American leaderhead for Civ4 and now tried my luck with converting it to Civ4Col. Well, it worked. :) This is how she looks:

And this is the download link: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=16352

The leaderhead is completely modular and there should be no problem to add her to any existing mod.

Enjoy! :)

By the way, I have no idea if she comes even close to how the real Nanye-hi looked or clothed like, I just didn't want to leave her nameless.

Looks good SaibotLieh! Too bad she's not an alien or anything, or I'd put her in my mod for sure. :p

BTW as long as you're trying out Civ4Col conversions, could you take a quick try at whether any of your Female Great People units could be imported into Civ4Col? The modern female great people would be ideal for some of the colonists in my mod, but for some reason I couldn't get any of them to load in game and I couldn't figure out why.

Thanks, I could offer you to convert my Tali leaderhead as well, if she is alien enough for you. ;)

In fact it seems like there is no problem in using the Civ4 leaderheads in Col, one just need to make sure that all the necessary animation files are present as well. At least this was true for the Nanye-hi leaderhead, only the XML files had to be adjusted.

I could try to convert some of my units, do you have any favorites? (By the way, there is also a Tali unit available :D)

Wow I hadn't seen your Tali leaderhead - she will definitely need to go in! :borg: Like you said I generally haven't had any problems importing leaderheads, but about 20% of Civ4 units seem to crash when being viewed in Civ4Col. I'm guessing it's because they're using some Civ4 dds or nif resource that's not present in the Colonization package, but I didn't find anything obvious on viewing in nifskope.

Anyway, if you're able to figure out how to adapt some of your units that would be great. The two I especially liked were Modern Great Scientist and Modern Great Engineer, who would be perfect for the Brilliant Biochemist and Master Engineer in my mod. I had already tried importing your Tali unit as well but also couldn't get it to load in Col; she would work great for a new alien race in conjunction with your leaderhead. Lastly, it would also be cool to have an all-purpose futuristic woman like your Spy http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads/spy_2tM.jpg to use as a Free Colonist. Well, thanks for trying and let me know if you figure out a solution!

Are you talking about the Female versions of the Modern Great Engineer and Scientist. I just tried to get his Femal Great Scientist in the game and it seemed to work just fine as it was? Except for teamcolor needing to be adjusted.

EDIT: Anyway, the Tali unit would not work as you say but...

I had the same problem trying to get custom units into the Medieval Mod. I don't know if what all you tired yet to get the units in but I explain what I done below.

First off I had made post asking for help and searched everywhere but no help until I found Deliverators responce to helping some guy get Zombie units into Col.

The thread is here.. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=317419.

You need to know how to use and have installed Nifscope and Blender.

First get a unit you know works with Col. I always use the Free_Colonist as he doen't have any extra tools or weapons that could cause problems.

Then open both the Tali and Free Colonist in Nifscope. Paste the Tali over the Colonist, then Delete the Colonist. Now Save the File.

Now open Blender and Import the file you just saved. Once you have imported left click on the unit to select it. Now export it.

Thats it. The unit will work in Col. You have to of course use the Free_Colonist animations for the unit.

Say hello to my little friend...

Good to hear that this doable. :goodjob:

Also, less work for me.

If you want some modifications to that model just ask, otherwise I hope you'll succeed with Kailric's solution. :)

Actually, its Nifscope that you need to use. Ill change that post. If you are not familar with Nifscope and Blender just let me know. You can just put all the units you want fixed in a zip, post it, and I'll fix them for you. It only takes a min to do a unit.

Some units I found can't be fixed this way. But most where.
