What exactly is the difference between the different moderating titles? I have admined a forum before so I kind of know the difference between Administrator and Moderator, but what exactly is the difference between Mod and Super Mod and Admin and Super Mod?

I think a mod only can mod the forums hes asigned to. A Super Mod can moderate all forums. And the Admin is the administrator.

Sort of what Yoda said. Normal mods have assigned forums. Any mod can ban any poster, even for something the poster did outside of the mod's forum. But a mod can only delete posts within his/her forum, and I think the same thing applies with closing threads. Lefty Scaevola, the super-mod, however, can moderate in every forum. And Thunderfall, the administrator, is basically a super-mod with administrative powers, such as unbanning posters, appointing mods, changing posters' accounts, adding vB stuff, adding/archiving/deleting forums, etc. Also, I'm pretty sure that mods can't ban other mods (even the super-mod can't), but the admin can. Either that or the admin can't, and he has to make the mod not a mod anymore, THEN ban him/her, but I'm pretty sure that he can.

Cool!

The super-mod also doesn't have an edit tag (the one that says "last edited" like TF does). So Lefty has to put his name on whatever he mods so there's no confusion.

Moderating postions?

Seated, when moderating.

Yeah, this sucks. :D I rarely proofread my posts and often have to go back to change things. Lots of my posts have the Last edited tag now. :(

After we upgrade to vB 3.0, we are going to have a new mod group called "Mini-Mod". ;)

One time I did see cracker edit a post w/o an edit tag :hmm: which was weird. He did sign it so it didn't make a big difference.

Thunderfall has recently changed that, to save me thre trouble. I still, jpwever, have the habit of putting 'Lefty' in.

If Yoda is correct, that would be a godsend for people who run NES games so they could deal with things in their own thread without having power for the whole forum.

Mini-Mods??

heh.... Sounds... um... interesting.... Though... I think we are doing fine with the mods we have right now.

Mini-Mods? I think they prefer to be called little people.

Hmm, I wonder if my dream of there being such a thing as moderators that can moderate whenever they feel like it without having the responsibility of moderating on demand has come true. If so, I'd like to join! :D

Also.... I want to know who the mini-mods might be... Then I know who to suck up to beforehand ;)
