Modern Infantry Collection

These units are very nice. When I vote in the monthly poll, I look for quality of unit, regardless of applicability. However,
I have been waiting so long for these! We need these so much more than the usual swordsman/spearman/fantasy units we get so much of. THank you so much:cool:
These sort of comments are redundant and tiresome (:deadhorse: ) in my opinion. Right now there are AD, a Mesoamerican mod, LOTM, EFZI:0, etc. in development. How many mods requiring Modern Infantry are being publicly and communally created?

Oh, I forgot to mention FF.
I'm sneaking my way towards one ... :D
The royal we was used. So I emphasized public / communal. That's the same reason I didn't mention a certain nebulous effort involving South Asia. ;)

Very cool!

Does this mean we'll be seing a Canadian Infantry (eventually)?

Thanks all for the comments and compliments.

@ Wyrm, I think the M16 and G36 came from you, although with the 3d library I've accumulated, it's hard to tell. Thanks again for sending me everything you did.

@ Ares, many thanks for posting those sounds. I'll probably be using them myself.

@ Red Door, I'll make a Russian for sure.

@ Spacer One, I'll also make some for desert environs.

@ RedAlert, there's Candian Infantry? :joke: I just had to pipe in with a stupid American response. Can you PM me an image of a representative soldier?

As for the one type of units is better than another debate, please don't get into that here. I personally like units from all eras as well as fantasy, sci-fi, etc... and I really don't appreciate the belittling of anyone's work or tastes. If you feel inclined to do so, please open a new thread. Thanks.:)

Wow, I'm not sure I should believe my eyes. This is very cool, and a very significant area of history to contribute in. The more-units-from-throughout-history the merrier, not much else to say!

I say make a moustache on the unit mandatory! ;)

I'm not actually sure (not even sure what an M4 is). I think it is a Canadian variant of something, my guess would be our version of the M-16 or AR-15 or whatever those things are called. Lemme check wikipedia...

...yeah, it's called the C7 rifle. Wikipedia article is here.

My mod needs modern infantry.

And I do, too. Ultimately, I'd like to have all my unit lines customized from Ancient to Modern Times. I am trying to do my part with my air units.

Awesome units. Simply awesome.

How many aren't being created communally? As in using creations of others in the CFC community, but having all the other aspects of the mod/scenario being created by one person?

Yea there is. Isn't that when the Mounties get off their horses? :cringe: :dubious: :sarcasm:

Sorry, having witnessed NavyDawg's comment I couldn't resist. I also have some friends from Canada that I like to harass. It's all in good fun though.

It looks like Mithadan and Tank Guy#3 beat me to it, but their pictures are an excellent representation of what the unit should look like.
Don't worry 'aboot' the joke! You actually reminded me of this ;)
Thanks for considering a Canadian unit!!

Well if you are still looking for nation specific weapons, you know where to look.

That is classic. I must admit I had to re-read it quick when I heard the phrase "Canadian" and "warship" together. But I suppose some would say that about a Peace Corps group going to a Third World country from the US.

I think I'd have to reboot my brain if they said "...the Canadians have sent in their carrier battle groups."
