What are you call "KGB Guard"?There was no division named "Guard of KGB"(gvardiya KGB) in Soviet timesMaybe,you mean special purpose units (SPN) "Thunder" KGB / Group "A" of the KGB, so called "Alpha "?But They did not shoot, dressed in a greatcoat, from AK-47;they were the special operations forces.Or KGB Border Troops,or three divisions of airborne troops?

Probably because of the above ridiculous amount of different troops, I made a generic russian in a ushanka, winter coat and AK. Just think of him as internal security troops.

There are shoulder-straps of cadets of higher military schools on your KGB guard!!!!You've made the kursant (leftmost-cadet of the military school) in the uniform 'till 1969 (but the coat didn't has the buttons).There wasn't the special uniform for soviet guard units, just ceremonial, field or casual uniforms for army, navy,air force etc. Everyone wore ushanka in winter.You can get the troops of KGB, if you'll put on the dark blue straps of your soldier yellow letters GB instead SA in Russian, of course...

I sometimes think some of us become obsessed about details - at Civ scale. And all of Wyrm's units look great in-game. So approximations are close enough for me. I like it, and plan to use it as a Soviet border guard unit.

It blows me away how some people on here can be so incredibly obnoxious and just downright rude to towards unit makers. Wyrm must have a heck of allot more patience then I do, then again arguing with putzes is never a winning idea I suppose.

I must say that they look great, especially KGB Guard. It remind me to NKVD infantry from late WWII, except for rifle but at civ 3 scale its not important.

You had to say it to him immediately and did not do this just because he spoke in support of you.Why are you even open a thread, if you accept only the reviews like "nice work!" and "good job,man!".I expressed my opinion, it is constructive, because I saw some mistakes on pediaicons and I know what I'm talking, I wore this uniform! Besides, I repelled the cold war cliches such as "KGB Guard".Believe me, for the Russian ear it sounds very naive(worse may be just the NKVD Guard).It looks as if we have depicted the Vietnam War era soldiers of US Army all dressed up as Uncle Sam.I'm sorry,that I've disturbed your peaceful existence by my doubts

No, it's mostly because you are annoying, obnoxious and anal retentive. Also, physically threatening people may be how you say hello where you are from, but it's frowned upon on in this forum.

Also, if it wasn't far too much trouble for me, I'd make every death for my Russian Infantry units grotesquely bloody and completely NSFW. Why? Because you deserve it. But I am not going that far because it would be too much work for me just to prove a silly point I've already iterated with AndrewMarley.
