Looks good, but if you're going to post it here you should probably keep the civ-specific colors in. This will allow for more flexibility as others may want to use it as a non-unique unit. Keep up the good work.

If anyone could give me tips on making good animation or shortcuts, it would be much appreciated. I have a lot of work ahead of me to animate the default, fidget, run, attack and death flics. Again, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sense you are doing a ship it would be posible to only do the south, north, east or west, northeast or northwest, and southeats or southwest. You could cut you time in half by cuting and pasting and then you could chose flip image and it will be the wame image only backwords.

Heh heh, thx codemaster...have already done that for the views. I just have to go thru the animation work.

Finally, a decent version of the Iowa class battleship. I eagerly await the finished version. Keep up the excellent work!!!

Just remember all of your attack animations will have to be original, what I mean is you can't copy the SW attack for the SE attack, because the guns on the battleship are always turned to the right, with relation to which direction the bow is facing, believe me, I know. What I did on all 3 of my battleships that I made was keep the original battleship file open, and keep the one I was working on open, cut the images down so that I had each one right next to the other, then just cut and paste from one image to another whichever part I needed. For instance, the run animation, just copy the water ripples, and paste them in place on your ship. Be especially careful, and this goes with any unit, that you pay attention to the original Firaxis units. Because some of their pcx files will be bigger and smaller than others, some of the frames will be different sizes. Don't simply copy a frame from your default, and then paste it in your run file, if you do, the ship may jump from flc. to flc. in game, which can be very frustrating when you playtest it and are looking forward to bombarding bararians in 4000 bc. The solution is just to copy the battleship itself, no background, then paste it in a new pcx file, as closely ontop of the batteship in that file as you can.

Thanks for the advice ,TVA22, I was hoping to hear from you. I figured if anyone had good advice on ship animations, it would be you. I never noticed the guns always face right during attack. I'm working on the default views today, man, what a pain just to give the ship a little movement from the waves... ! I 'll definitely use your advice, thanks again.

I thought the USS North Carolina was a separate class of BBs?
