[MODPACK][Warlords]Kets Unaltered But Flavorful Gameplay Modpack Version 1.0

I too really like this mod, but use the Better AI mod and as they are always updating I hope you can leave the coregame.dll file free. Thanks for your hard work.
 
Just on a whim, I decided to try using the Better AI .dll with this mod and it appears to work so far. Some of the funcitonality of the mod is not there, but there havent been any errors and so far most things like the graphics changes etc appear to be intact.

You might want to give it a try as well. I have played half of a game out (just got to early Rennaisance) without issue.
 
Ah great to know, I'll try it as soon as I finish my current game. I've been able to use the Better AI mod with no problems so far on the Ethnically Diverse Units Mod just so others know that they are compatible.
 
I seem to have run into a problem. I'm running warlords 2.08, I've installed the mod and the patch, run the Great Persons batch file, but then when I tell Civ to load this mod... the game crashes upon reloading. Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to solve it?
 
I had that problem before I 'patched' it for 2.08. Perhaps delete it, re-download and reinstall from scratch.
 
Argh, I think I figured it out- the mod just straight isn't compatible with warlords 2.08. Any ETA on when it will be?
 
Awesome, just what the doctor ordered. Unfortunately, I've become rather embroiled in a game already (I modified ket's mod significantly in the gameplay aspects) and will be in it for the long haul- but I will test it out as soon as I can!

In other news, I seem to have run into two problems.

1. I accidentally deleted all the domestic advisor pages (except for the military one) and don't know how to get them back/restore to default. Even starting a new game doesn't help. Does anyone know of a fix?

2. There seems to be a new selection scheme. I click on the unit icons, and it selects the icon but does not add the unit to the selection- I will post a screenshot if anyone asks for it. I think it might have something to do with the new row of icons between the game map and the interface? I've looked through the readmes, and there doesn't seem to be any instructions as to what to do. Could someone please point me in the right direction here?
 
Yes, the mod's selection changes dont seem to agree with the changes made in Warlords (allowing for double rows of units to be displayed). I also have no idea how to use that extra row of buttons either.

In the end, I became frustrated enough with it to give up the mod as a total package. Instead I simply use the unit graphics and a few other minor things. A major upside of this is that it doesnt require the .dll anymore so I can use the Better AI with no problems.
 
Uncle Joe, do you play multiplayer with this mod ever? I was in the middle of a game with it, and around 1500ad we ended with a desync. Sadly, I didn't think to keep the autosaves, as we started another game and they were written over.
 
No, I havent played MP with this mod yet. Are you also using 'Better AI'? There have been a few reports of OOS's happening with the later builds of that mod.
 
We did have Better AI loaded as well, so I'm not sure which one caused the desync. Though I have had a few desyncs with the Better AI mod when it's used by itself. They tend to occur in the mid to late game, and a lot of our mp games don't survive till that point.

Very nice mod.
But is it possible to take only "part" of this mod - only increased stack (unit) size and formations part? Only graphics changing - not gameplay?
May be it is possible to take only some files (not all) ? Or... can you help? Thank you
