MODs ALWAYS Installed?

I have 2 MODs that have been used in the past which always get installed when starting the game. I remove them from the MODS folder, and clear the cache, but when I start Civ V, they show back up. It is Cultural Diffusion (v12) and Revolutions (v4). I know the Revolutions MOD is dependent on the Cultural Diffusion MOD, but cannot figure out why either of them would be forced to install. Any ideas on why this would happen and/or how to fix it?

If you've subscribed to them via the new Steam Workshop interface, when you next enter the Mod Broswer screen the game will detect they are missing and re-download them, so you'll also need to unsubscribe from them in the Workshop

On the mod selection screen (ingame) click on the mod line, it will bring the mod details.

You'll find the unsubscribe button there, clicking on it will both unsubscribe and delete the mod.

If you like the CURRENT revision of a mod, you can unsubscribe to it, and steam will not update that mod but you can still use it whether or not its "subscribed".

Another option you have is to place an underscore as the first letter.

_Fall From Heaven 3 0.9a

this will prevent it from trying to update it.

Thanks for the information. Does this behavior mean that since the patch all MODs in the MOD folder are loaded when the game is started, as before?
