With the situation heating up with Japan, it is important that we consider potential friends and allies in the event we find ourselves thrust into a war. With this in mind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs poses the question: Shall we establish an Embassy in China?

Please vote Yes, No, or Abstain.

This is an official poll and will remain open for not less than 48 hrs and until a quorum has been reached.

Recommendations from the Ministry: We encourage all citizens to vote Yes on this issue. While an embassy is almost always a good thing, we should seriously consider establishing one with China at this time. We should pursue friendly relations in hopes of securing their freindship or at the very least to prevent them from coming to the aid of Japan should conflict arise.

We need to establish this embassy in conjunction with our settler moving south to secure dyes near the Chinese frontier.

No. They're stuck in the jungle (more or less hindered by it). I don't think it would be of much benefit.

I agree with Chieftess. In addition, the fewer nations we invite onto our strategic roadways during an impending war, the better.

A Right of Passage agreement would help keep China out of any war with Japan. However, we cannot propose this unless we have an embassy, hence the recommendation from the Ministry.
