I decided to change up my peaceful strategy for some waring last night and it was very rewarding, in both my points and fun
I played as the Inca on small pangea and spent my first 8-15 builds on their special warriors. Using these i striped my neighbours of their free workers and improvements which quickly resulted in our scores leveling out. I found it easy to take any new city they would create and barbarian cities which eventually resulted in my empire spanning 25% of the map. The maintainence costs were very high but by continually take cities and pillaging I was able to keep up. Once the 2 strangth warrior was completely obsoleted I spead them out to prevent barbarians from spawning and used the Financial trait to bring my economy out of the gutter (I had 0% research for 20 turns or so and was still losing 20GPT). Once I started getting my profitability up I quickly caught up in the important techs due to my researching a tech every two turns and even made alphabet before all but one AI.
I'm going to try some other aggressive civs to try out this highly aggressive strategy to see how dependant it is on the special unit.
