Monarchies in Europe - REALLY Monarchies?

Suddenly I lost all respect for you, Mirc.

Christianity is OK, but... Monarchy? Aww c'mon, give it a break...

Wait, is it normal to lose respect over such a point of view? I, for one, wouldn't do this.

I support Constitutional Monarchy similar to the pre-WW2 model because:

- the old communist corrupted thieves (yes, they are thieves in the purest sense of the word) that currently FILL our political scene would lose all powers (that's pretty much what kept us in place in the last 16 years, and might still continue to do)
- the stupid Romanians (we are really full with stupid people, as well as with brainwashed, or some that follow a certain bad for us interest - e.g. UDMR, a party that wishes to break a part of Romania and make it independent) would have much less power
- we could finally start working on the reconsolidation plan and finally be sure the money from the EU won't be wasted
- it will civilize the people (I can prove how, it's a long subject)
- it would get rid of the political crisis we currently have (the PM is about to change the government, the president wants to dissolve the parliament, etc, it's a total mess)
- it will adapt us quicker to the Euro and will speed up our ascension to the Schengen zone - currently we're just stagnating because of stupid limits of this so-called republic that we have and that is useless to us.
- it would give a hope for Moldova (again I can prove this, but a long subject).

Disadvantages, well, it could be abused, but I don't see how this could happen soon.

And things aren't getting better with all these monarchists (or, in other words, Sverigedemokrater) about.

The SD got about 2,5% of the votes in last election, while the monarchy has about 85% support from the people, so according to you ca 98% of all Sverigedemokrater votes for another party than their own.
