I tried actually. The HOF rules allow using RainForest map. On that map, everywhere is covered by jungles and it seems Jaguars can move through it quickly with lvl2 Woodsman skill.

AI will not be able to grow its empire quickly due to the Jungle limit. He would need to search for IronWorking.

In the meantime, you can get really strong if you can research IW quickly enough. You also do not need to hook up Iron for Jaguars and they are abit cheaper than the regular Swordsman.

Only if I draw him when playing Random Leader. He's not the greatest choice, but if you're able to leverage his Spiritual trait to hop in and out of slavery in order to take advantage of his unique building, Montezuma can be a decent leader. It takes dedicated micromanaging to maximize the above strategy, however, so it's not for everyone.

I like Monthy. SPI is a good trait, AGG does not harm. Jaguear are a bit lacking but the Altar is great for early to medieval wars.

Like him as opponent too: He's easy to deal with (:trouble: or sometimes :ar15:) + i think his leaderhead artwork is one of the better in the game: seeing him does not make me wanna bash my display. (Like for example Zara od DeGaule do - i can't stand people grunting on me :D)

I think I played him once, nice rush to Jaguar, only one AI to batter however, then I think someone like Louis or Bismarck turned up and I was wa-ay off in Tech, Game Over.

apart from that he's brilliant.

I got assigned him in a random leader game. I started out in a jungle with iron, and was able to Jaguar rush the Burger King (Charlemange).

I owned my own small continent and finished third.
