MOO2 Psilons

I should be able to wrap this one up tonight. Any requests for what I should play next? Nielkaz was suggesting a weaker race. I was otherwise going to venture into one of the Production races.

How about Gnolam?
 
Gnols will be a big step down from Psilon and certainly you'll be threatened with a loss if you don't roll a good start and have nasty neighbors.

You may want Klackon for a change of pace, being uncreative but good production and food. I just rolled a Klackon game, and in addition to a rather lousy system I have the worst batch of techs imaginable!! This will be a challange.

Nothing early to help research or production and LOL no cloners or soil enrichment and useless bio-weapons instead!

I don't even know where to begin my research.
 
Most of the details are dispensed with - We just want to know how the war went with the Klackon, right?

There was a Klackon Battleship heading for the Kakari System. We redesigned on of the YARR Destroyers with a Warp Intidictor and we managed a capture.

Our Titan Terror was designed with Neutron Blasters and Heavy Graviton Beams and its first victim was the Space Dragon. We then colonized the Thesbia System.

Inspiring game. You make me want to roll a creative race again! The last one had neighbor troubles; namely Klackons who pulled off a battleship at t99. Just stupid. I always thought that creative needed a bit more time to settle in, but your war was early and got you huge momentum. I'll try to change my ways and lean harder on the mirv nukes.

One choice that comes up is which tree to climb. Battle Pods + Space Port + Robo Miners = 1300. Neural Scanner + Planetary Supercomputer = 1300.

What I am thinking is the Robo Miners + Space Port give a good economic boost and should come before the Planetary Supercomputer. Researching the Supercomputer first means that we need more time to research more stuff. Researching the Robo Miners first means we can build stuff like Colony Ships.

In the case of this game, we encountered the Darloks right when we researched Robo Miners, so the stuff we needed to build was very apparent. :)
 
Great game.

If you are looking for a builder race, both Klackons and Meklar are good choices. You'll get to pick tech choices with Meklar, the game will pick the techs for you with Klackon. The Klackon can apply more of their industrial capacity, but need more people farming, so it's a toss-up between the two in production capability. The Gnolam will have to rely more upon buying things, since their production isn't quite as good, but they got the money to do this if you have friendly neighbors.
