Memory performance decreases with increasing age. Cannabis can reverse these ageing processes in the brain. This was shown in mice by scientists at the University of Bonn with their colleagues at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). Old animals were able to regress to the state of two-month-old mice with a prolonged low-dose treatment with a cannabis active ingredient. This opens up new options, for instance, when it comes to treating dementia.

I have experience with dementia... and another reason to hate the Democrats and Republicans for playing politics with our health. Get off your arse Trump and reschedule marijuana.

Now what in the hell is going on? I thought pot made people more forgetful... It's supposedly not good for young brains, especially short term memory. But it has the opposite effect on older brains?

The high and overuse of marijuana leads to forgetfulness.

The dose being applied in these experiments are so low so as to have no effect on cognition, much like the high-CBD strains they give for children with epilepsy.

yes, apparently not even enough to get 'high'... But it is still the 'active' ingredient, so there's a need for cannabis with and without the thc
