Morrowind!

Have you patched it?

The system requirements for Morrowind are rather high - it's better to go above the suggested minimal requirements for an idea of what it really requires to even work. Maybe you can tone down your settings like detail level etc, to minimize workload. ;)

The graphics problem is all fixed now... It seems that during a past computer problem, I turned down my graphics acceleration, so that is now fixed, yet with all the great visual detail I have now, It still freezes now and again. I have the patch, but I have not patched the game, since it said in the readme that the patch is already installed with Tribunal. But the game is now a lot more playable.

Hey all, i'm visiting the mother right now(home from college), i still don't have internet at my house at college :( hopefully it'll come soon! I haven't played alot of morrowind lately....i'm going to start to though :D i have free time. Also i have 2 manors in Balmora, the Hlaalu manor and Nemor(?) manor. Can't remember the second name, i know its right beside the Hlaalu manor. Great game :D i'm gonna buy tribunal soon. Anyways i'm just checking up on the forum, i'm going back tomorrow night for a party at the KA house :D gonna party hard since i have hmmmmm 3 tests next week

Go get it!! :) It's like the most useful item in the game. I think the woman's name is Pemenie and she wants you to escort her to Gnaar Mok.

Wear that boot plus a pant with constant 1pt levitation effect and you will be like super man, flying all over the world.
Uh, but doesn't that keep you from seeing anything? I cheated myself the boots before and they were fun but I couldn't see crap, even with the gamma correction turned all the way up.

There are two ways to get around that. One race starts with constant 30% magic resistance, and there is a cuirass (Savior's Hide) that gives you 70% constant magic resistance (I think). Together you have 100% magic resistance.

Another simple solution is to create a Resist Magic 100% spell in a mage guild. The duration only needs to be 1 second. Just cast the spell and immediately right click to bring up the inventory and equip the boot. :)

Nice, I will keep that in mind. :)
Do you also think that they kinda messed up with the duration/cost of certain magics? Especially the ones you create.
Example: Fireball with a duration over 1....what would the point be?
Also, Cure Poison with a duration over 1...you can buy them like that (with higher than 1 duration) but it makes no sense to make them like that.

I love Morrowind, best RPG ever, I have a lvl 48 char., also for those of you Morrowind fans who dont know about Tamriel Rebuilt heres a link: Intro

Thanks for the link. I will have to check out that mod when I re-play Morrowind again. :)

Even better than the expansions. ( I love exploring) It's great to see it geting recognition.

Wow I never saw this thread! Thank you for making it XIII I get down to reading it strignt away!
I'm not a new player so if anyone has ANY questions I'll be glad to answer them. IMO Morrowind and Civ are the best games ever made with some exceptions. :)

I almost bought this last month, with all expansions for about $30. On the way out I saw KOTOR and got that instead. I'm probably going to get this one now, seems like everyone enjoyed it...

Get it! Best RPG ever made! :D

Had to start over Morrowind again once after having to reformat, then another time for a reformat then i got both the expansion packs :D
This game is just awesome, i still can't get anything enchanted. Ever since TF told me about this game and his enchanted robe that allows him to fly around the world i've always wanted to enchant my own robe :D

Oh and Tamriel Rebuilt looks awesome

Near Seyda Neen, if you go to northwest from there, you see a man droppin from the sky. He has 3-4 scrolls that will make you acrobatic skills into 1000(or something like that) for few seconds, but when you jump, you will die into the fall.
How could I get around that? (so that I could use them without danger of dying).

Enchanting is easy. You need a soulgem a spell in the "spell list" and an item you want to enchant. Enchanting is difficult to do on your own, so I always go to an enchanter cuz its cheaper. If you want to do it on your own you'd have to have a good enchanting skill. To raise it recharge enchanted items or go to trainers. Of course adding cool things is so much easier with the Construction Set :).

The standart trick Betrayed is to jump into water :). Once it saved me from a desperate situation and a 30 mile walk to the nearest town with 12 health left. The other trick is to use levitation or slowfall spell just before you hit the ground. But that never worked for me on low-level characters.

Ah ok, so i need a spell of levitation i suppose, wonder where i can buy one :|
I have the soul gem, "Grand Soul Gem of Twilight" worth 60,000. I decided to buy it instead of steal it since i have 300,000 gold ;)

Do you know how to capture souls? Its free! :D

Best places for spells are Mages Guilds and Temple. Telvanni House also sells good spells but "Faction members only, Nord".

No, i haven't dealt with any magic in Morrowind yet :P I've just been one helluva thief

I do have 2 empty soul gems, and i know that i need a Golden Saint soulgem to have a constant effect enchantment.
