Most barbs in Massive Uprising

Whats the most barbs you can get in a massive uprising?

I was hit with 24 barb horses at one time from it. This shot is from GOTM31, standard map, raging barbs, emporer level.

I was hit by about eighty once, on one of those rare occasions where a continent isn't completely settled by the Middle Ages. Fortunately, I was the Greeks. Fortunate since most of those went for a single rather lightly defended town on the outskirts, and I only had time to throw a couple of extra defenders in and rush some walls before the attack. The last horseman killed my last hoplite in the town.

I had 24 attack a spear on the edge of the Himilayans on Kitten's World Map, and the redlined spear (after 12 battles) fended off the last 12 of them!

About 20 i think. It was chieftain though so a few warriors could do it.

BTW is it right that every barb camp gets massive uprising once someone enters middle age?

Every barb camp gets massive uprising once the second civ enters middle ages. Same with industrial and modern ages, if there are any barb camps remaining.

I once had a MU descend on the Carthaginian city I was just about to attacki. It killed about half my attack stack, but also eliminated the Carthaginian garrison. Pretty helpful.

Does the Size of the uprising depend on which transition it is (middle, industrial, or modern)? or on the size of nearby empires, all empires? any one done any testing on it?

It depends on
(1) primarily the Barbarian level you set at the beginning of the game (sedentary ... raging),
(2) how many ages of uprisings it has been accumulating,
(3) when someone gets on a north-west or south-east axis of the stack (at any range, not sure about same continent or not), which activates their movement.

Here's one I forgot about. From GOTM30, std Arc map, raging, Monarch level. I was in the tech lead at the time and was only mid way thru the Middle ages. I found a group of three islands with a combined 93 barbs.

I once had a game with 4 SoD of ~20 - 24 Barbs, though. One of them was staying next to my main supply line, thus nailing my settlers at the next town, while the other three SoDs roamed my territory - or what the Celts had left of it. They interrupted the supply line to my only iron for 3 or 4 times (it was a defended colony on a hill in a tundra region), until I finally build a town on it on concentrated a lot of archers and longbows along the roads. But at this time the Celts took my only horse, so all my trades for finally getting Chivalry were lost... at least didn't benefit me.
It really looked like a joint operation of Celts and Barbs :-\)

When an uprising occurs, barbarian horsemen are automatically generated in every barb camp existing in the world at the time. The # depends entirely on the barbarian setting when the game was setup. Raging = 24. You can find more because an existing camp may have been generating barbs for many turns prior to the uprising.

Yea, I added wrong. There's actually 95 because there is one in the barb camp N of the 31.

As far as the GOTM spoiler goes this shot is not from the current month's game. The original post was from the current month, which is why I removed the minimap in the first post.
