Most Hated Civ?

Elizabeth always backstabs me.

Ok, I betrayed her multiple times in a few minutes on my first game. I didn't even know that was unfair! And we were playing on the sucky-ships-with game- earthmap. We were the only two people in the western Hemisphere! I was in central America, you were in northern Peru.

Can she just forgive me? Or stop spawning in the middle of the jungle? At least then I would have some good land at the end of it.

Spain's UU is so annoying. Especially when they've got a bunch of them, they run past my border cities and take out my weakly-defended center cities. They send them in streams and go through mountains and forests, so when I attack to kill one, my unit is done for the rest of the turn, even a three-move unit like cavalry.

Fortunately, haven't had to fight Isabella much. Germany and Carthage pissed me off in my first Regent game, but I smashed them up pretty badly.

The Mongols.

I recently played a PBEM game where an AI controled Mongols beelined for me and wiped me out very early. They have now become my most hated Civ. I am much more cautious if i start near them and they are always high on my list of civs to take out.

England betrays me everytime.

Of course, everytime I bury them under an extremely large force.

In the original game and PTW, the Babylonians were persistently my enemy. With C3C, though, the Dutch have taken that distinction. They're always huge and invariably I have to take them out. I always dread attacking them because of their size and power, too. I actually like being next to the Zulu and Aztecs: they make good allies.

I am still playing vanilla and I know if the Zulu or the Aztec are anywhere nearby I will be at war very soon.

I am getting in the rut of playing as Persia so I just head straight to IW and I'm ready for anybody that comes calling early on. (although, i am usually the one with my hand on the doorbell come to think of it  )

Having immortals just makes you feel like you've got a bazooka, eh?

Totally!!!

especially on Vanilla. Immortals own the entire ancient age.

WHen they toned down indusrtial, I lost all interest in persia.

* I have to stop typing with closed fists.

What exactly did they do to it. the Industrious trait is my current dealbreaker. But if it is not as useful... maybe I don't want "Complete".

Industrious workers work at 1.5x speed instead of 2x, but they added the agricultural trait which is 10 times more overpowered as the industrious trait ever was, so don't worry, conquest will still be a blast! :D

I think I have a few pet hates. The Dutch, I seem to spend so many games beating the poor clog-wearing idiots to death with their own tulips, and those Swiss Mercs are tough as defenders. And a pain to wheedle out of your territory. The Carthaginians for their UU, Nemedians are nearly as bad as Swiss. The Iroquois are simply annoying for their ability to spread across the map. And dont even talk to me about Shaka!!!!!! I think they all have their gripe points, the Ottomans and the Russians never want to trade, Germans are always annoyed. I'm a big 'meet the neighbours' player, get round the map as quickly as possible and tech trade my butt off. I have conversations with them, like 'So you wont trade me Iron working', 'Well your name is going in down in my black book for being first against the wall when the revolution comes' I think my sig says it best.
