Most worthless unit in the game?

Ironclads has a prerequisite....I didn't think you could do that? Or did you trade for the first tier tech?

the ironclads are really useful in my experience, its just noone can be bothered researching the tech for them. they are leagues ahead of frigates and privateers, and they upgrade to destroyers. u can build yourself a nice navy with these buggers. but they are so slow i cant ever actually be bothered researching their tech

ironclads as your bonus? whoa, nice trading ;)

 Yes, I completely bankrupted my economy in the hope for Industrialization, or at least Medicine/Comm. Several AIs had Nationalism, and Germany got Steam when gifted into IA (they lacked Demo/MT/Eco, so that deal was doable). Could barely recoup by selling Ironclads around...

To get Ironclads as a free tech, he must have used DaveMcW's trading trick.;) There is an article about that in the article forum.

Yes, I see now how he did it.

Stealth aircraft. If you're building these, the game should already be over.

Chariot. Horsemen are one or two techs away and it has same stats than warrior expext it's faster.

I must agree with this. A wheeled warrior is pretty useless :crazyeye:
There are certainly other candidates too.

Chariots are absolute pony, and I don't like Man of Wars either because they don't last long

Chariots , paratroopers , stealth fighter and helicopter are all useless to me , I consider ironclads a good unit when you are seafaring , only to bad they are on a dead end tech.

I have to say quit bad mouthing the chariot! I use them in AW games where i cant get research done early myself. I use them all the time to upgrade to horsemen. I also use them for scouts and for pillaging missions. I think of them not as wheeled warriors, but as upgraded scouts.

Least useful unit- ICBM. Way too late in game, ruins your rep, and gets pretty much an auto war from it. It hurts more then it helps.

What do you do when you start with jungle or mountains all around you?

Unless you happen to have 50 of them...

If im in this situation, I usually use my iron units.

If you had the time to sit there and make 50 ICBMs, you should have the whole world by now.

P.S. how do u show who posted the text in a quote?

Click on the "quote" button in the bottom-right corner of the post. It will show you a quote showing the entire post. You can edit that if you like.

Why? It costs about 2000 gold to rush one. On huge maps it's quite possible to earn 2000 gold per turn in the modern age. One ICBM every turn adds up pretty quickly...

ICBM is good when you cut off resource/destroy No.1 city/Nuke before strike/Tactical hit enemy SoD,by the time you have ICBM,AI has it too!So use it efficiently and destroy enemy nukes before they nuke you.
