Those guys are sea raiders, and they will eat your children. I recommend you steer clear of them until you have a large party or at least a few good cavalry.(guys from the seashore seem to carry helmets, each of which are worth more than the quest I'm trying to complete with the cattle...)

actually, on second thought, they seem to have been toned down for the final release. They used to have lots of throwing axes and longbows.

I played the Warband beta multiplayer for 15 minutes and from what I can tell it combines the worst aspects of M&B with Counter-Strike, with added lag and the worst UI I've seen in recent years. And they're seriously asking 30 euros for it
