hi, i bought two new mouses but they both wont work on my laptop, the optical light flashes on, but when i move the mouse the cursor won't budge, and I checked them drivers (although normally you don't need one) and windows vista automatically call them a HID dub or an unknown device. and when I plug in my current crappy mouse in a port where I therefore put in my new mouse that mouse doesn't work anymore. So is there anyway to make sure my laptop recognise my mouses like mouses?

then Im guessing your drivers arent working? Are you sure you installed them, or did you install the default vista ones?

if you have another port try that. did you get the drivers from the manufacture's site? did you try restarting the computer with the mouse plugged in?

yes,no because there aren't any available, yes. and all to no avail.

Normally for these mouses you don't need any additional drivers.

1 mouse
2 mice

you fail at being a spelling nazi, I'm talking about the devices here, not the species.

btw an update: i contacted hp the manufacturer of my laptop and after giving me some hotfixes my laptop went into an infinite loop of blue screen and restart. I had to go to a buddy to fix it and I still haven't got a solution. the pc won't recognise the drivers for the mouse connected to the laptop.

Sigh, and it still won't work
