MPmod

I'd love to see some quality-of-life mods ported over to multiplayer, like Infoaddict or that one that shows city limits when you're building them.
 
Since it seems 2K is never going to fix MP so they can enable mods, I'd really like to see a Quickciv mod using this same process, the biggest complaint I have from the MP players is that GK has slowed the game down even more.

I still think that firaxis will finally allow mods in MP. We just need to wait for the last DLC. One or two years more. ;) At the moment MP mode is not stable enough to be modded in any way. Additionally core file modding will divide small MP community even more that now. It is waste of time.

I agree they need to fix MP stability before they can enable mods on a global system, but I don't share your positive outlook on getting MP fixed. MP is dying right now and some simple mods like a QC mod that doesn't change hardly any files could keep players interested.

I don't see mods dividing the community I see them making the community more vibrate. Like have stated Civ3 is still going strong because they have mods.

I'm not asking you to do Firaxis's work for them, just do something small for us. People that want to use it will, others will not. As long as it is not excessively difficult to switch between mods and unmodded games this should not be a problem.

so if you believe in this idea just do it. I'm not going to do firaxis job for free. There are a lot better games e.g. SHOGUN 2. I don't need to play civ5. Firaxis even didn't add pause and proper save feature. Do you know that current save during turn it is just copy of last the autosave and rename it? This game doesn't have save feature during MP turns...! MOD will not fix MP mode.

If I was a modder/programmer I likely would not be posting here asking for help :-/ Unfortunately I merely a mortal fansite owner :-/

I'm sorry you feel like you have to abandon Civ5, but I was not asking you to do firaxis's job, and fix MP, I was simply asking you to help the MP community with what is likely a simple mod to code with someone with your skills.

So is the verdict that this Multiplayer Mod is currently incompatible with Civilization V Gods and Kings? If so, that is too bad, I’d love to play the Hebrews or Israel.
