The Iriquois are our next targets, and maybe Babylon but for now mostly the Iriquois. The question to raise now, before I start planning, is do we want to war with other nations during our Golden Age of oppurtunity? Our Samurai can cut through the enemy now, but should we waste our valuable corruption lowered production in a war?
I seem to be part of the minority then. I feel that a Golden Age is the best time to be warring, because units are alot cheaper and the treasury is better.
The cities that could be building samurai need to be building markets/cathedrals. Thus we'll either have cities building infastructure they don't need or units that take too long to produce.
I agree with the majority. Now is the perfect time to focus on culture and infastructure. Building a solid domestic foundation now will help us immensely through the rest of the game.
I would like balance, but prefer military over infrastructure for now. We have a chance to obliterate the Iroquois once most of their army is in the north, so why not take that chance?
Agree here! We should use this chance to build improvements in cities that needs them and start a wonder. The cities that don't need improvements (or build all of them during GA) should switch to Samurai. With enough Samurai wars will be ala blitzkrieg
