Multi-session G&K game (GMT+12 @ 8PM)

Okay, now that the expansion has arrived, I'm looking to start another weekly game (a single game played over several weeks in ~2 hour sessions until finished). Same as my previous set-ups, the game will always start at 8PM local time (you'll have to figure out if that time will work for you regularly).

Days will be arranged based on players' schedules, aiming for 1-2 sessions per week. If we can settle on a specific day, that'd be great, but if not, we'll just find which days work for everyone on a week to week basis, as this seems to have worked well enough in the past.

Looking for up to six players...tho I'd be willing to run with four just to get a game going.

Haven't really thought about settings. Maybe a continents game.

Like I said, weekends still works, but maybe not for everyone else. I wont die if I cant get in. We can try and get another normal game going some other time, Onan. Just catch me on Steam during the next 2 weeks. I'll probably be awake.

Hi Onan i'm new to civ 5 multiplayer and i've been looking at a few of your threads and i'm definitely down with playing a more long term game like you describe. Is this through the GMR (robot) system like your other sessions?

At 8pm (GMT +12) however i would only be able to play on a weekend day (i'm in Canada GMT-5). If this is an option and you wouldn't mind having a newbie mp player (but not to civ 5 in general) let me know.

Hi duthmasta,

This isn't a GMR game, it's a game where we play live for a couple hours per week, and reload where we left off each time, until someone wins. It's another fun way to play that's not such a heavy time commitment, but it's much faster than a turn a day. More like 60 or so turn chunks, once a week or so.

If everyone wants to play on a weekend night, we could start a six player game here.

What say all of us? Works for me.

Yeah I think 8PM here is 4AM EST. are you normally up at this time?

I think we started playing these games on standard speed, actually. Quick is an option, too, though.

I just realized that 8pm your time would be too early for me, for some reason I was thinking that was 8am where I am but its actually 4am (i live in the same area as Tabarnak). Unless you ever play like around 12pm or 1pm at the latest your time, I won't be able to play in your games I think.

Yeah,that's part of the reason I set up these threads...I live in a difficult time zone.

You can run a GMR game! I suggest setting up a thread here to recruit players...and if you specifically want new players, maybe put that in the title. If you make it, they will come!
