i wish there was a way to auto ignore player attempts at diplomacy in online matches

in matches the only reason i will accept peace is to shut people up and in some cases so they will presume ill keep to my word and not play a defence against me "just in case"

i played a game last night and i swear every turn this french moron was asking to speak with me, despite being declined everytime!

had to vent :P anyone else feel this way?

Yea i think it would be a cool feature that if their are repeated attempts being made like in your case, they add in a option that just states "all out war, no more talking" Or something of the sort that will disable that player from being able to conduct with for the rest of the game. But it overall just helps if they have a mic. Or you just txt them also.

The amount of polish in this game is at an all time low: multiplayer diplomacy is the worst of the lot, not just regarding people spamming invite but its just so frustrating doing the most simple things in diplomacy - moreso if the other side wants to make it - that it can end up costing you the whole turn's worth of time.

you can do everything you need to in the diplomacy the only gripe i have with it is 13yr old kids spamming me invites constantly

Give them negative rep and leave the game. That would be my advice. This way you won't get matched up with them again in the future (Hopefully).

i only play ranked matches so i dont want to leave unless something comes up irl

I'd rather leave the game and save my sanity than worry about a silly meaningless numerical ranking... but that's just me. :)

civ is 1 of those games i enjoy to play competitively :P

I agree. You should go check out the competitve thread I made on this board and go vote and post on GB.

yeah forget ranked matches, play ladder with serious players. almost all games have a ladder just google it and ign up, but then you nut report wins and loses or get kicked out, I dout ill play civ rev online if an effective independent ladder is set up because this was vital for my civ 3 civ 4 online experience. OPEN GAMES SUCK.just stupid players doing stupid things.
