multiplayer chat problem

okay, I don't really know how else to describe it, but here I go...


I was playing multi with my brother last night, and repeatedly when I hit Shift+Tab, I couldn't type anything, and I accidentally made my workers do things I didn't want them to do because I was trying to type, but it instead was controlling the stuff outside of the chat window....despite the flashing thing that generally says that it's okay to type.

there is a way around it (going to Team Chat/Personal Chat and then typing what you wanna say) but it takes too long...

Yeah there is a problem with the chat thing in multiplayer. When I first logged into Gamespy I couldn't talk at all. I'd type my message and press enter, but nothing happened at all. I then restarted and it worked ok. Maybe you guys should try restarting from a save point? It might work. Or you can use that rejoin function so you restart Civ IV and your bro waits on the other PC. Might work ^_^

im still wondering which keys to use for the speaking through microphone..as solution we just use ventrilo which workes fine for 5years already ok, maybe some shorter, i didnt count the years. but its working bugfree since several years
