Multiplayer in G+K

Hey everyone,
Let me get started by saying I am really exited for G+K, a lot of cool new stuff. I am somewhat concerned about multiplayer in the expansion pack. I have not heard much about it at all...(granted I havent followed the G+K too closely). Are they planning to make improvements to multiplayer in the expansion?
 
I heard the combat animations will be allowed in MP, but besides that there was little on that side for the expansion.
 
They are patching MP, but I don't think they've announced any XP MP features. This has positives and negatives. The positives is the improvements they make are free.
 
I am still crossing my fingers for the 8 second rule (from civ4, which basically completely prevented double moves), it would not take much time to add into the game, and it would make for a MUCH better multiplayer experience.

Also it would be nice if units could not just fortify instantaneously for a +25% defensive bonus.

Yeah, but that's seperate from the expansion, that's patched in.

Although a I do like you can turn animations on or off during the game (I think I heard that at PAX).
No they aren't.

In fact, one of the new features, spying on AIs, doesn't work against humans at all.

The main thing with what he was quoting was that in mixed MP-AI games, intrigue is turned off even against AI players. So basically, they have no intention of making MP AI slots comparable to Mp SP slots, which speaks to their desire to improve MP in general.
 
Multiplayer will never become a decent community because its basicly a different game it doesn't use the same game mechanics it isn't turn based but simultaneous turns

In my opinion this hinder's a lot of people to join the online community.

I have no idea why they did is.

however I have heard that they will release pitboss they allready added hotseat so pretty sure they will ad that to some day

Thats the way that multiplayer alienates me. I want a turn-based strategy game both ways, not a faux RTS game in multiplayer.
Turn based gameplay alone would move some fans to join in that havent already. Im really hoping they change that.

Yes as result we have 2 seperate communities the turn based multiplayer at hotseat
and online community Wich doesn't seem right in my opinion
 
But the other features like religion and new units will still be in multiplayer right?
