I am trying to play RoM:AND 2.75 with a couple of friends and we have problems setting up multiplayer games:
Other people can't see games I set up as Internet games.
Direct connection occasionally works but often they aren't able to connect.
We definitely have the same version, I have opened the following ports on my router:
6500, 2033, 2302, 2056, 47624, 6515, 2300-2400, 13139 all as TCP/UDP
We managed to get a stable 3 player game once.
Is there a definitive guide somewhere to getting this to work?
MP without this mod works flawlessly and connections are quick.

Hi,

we had problems like that too.

For Internet-games don´t forget, we could only see the games of persons, who we declared as a friend before (right mouse click to send a message for friendship).

For Direct-IP we use Hamachi now, because without it, some of us had problems to connect to games, when other specific people were already logged in, although they have opened the ports in the FW.

I have found that even opening all the ports recommended, the router firewall still blocks the connection,
it would seem that there are more unlisted ports that need to be opened but to find them would take some considerable time, if indeed it is possible to do so.
My solution to the problem is to enable the DMZ setting on the router firewall (this opens all ports on the router firewall for the listed machine) just leave it set for the duration of the game,
as long as you have an effective firewall on your computer there is no extra risk in doing so. Different routers have different firmware but most do have a DMZ setting, if you can do the port forwarding you should be able to find it.
