multiplayergame date? with reg. civ2 + patch

I have reg civ2 with the mp patch.. who would like to make a date for game?

Hey, Id like to try a game. Ive got reg. civ II but not the multi player patch. What ideas do you have for the game? Map, etc...
Ill try looking for the patch but hust in case do you know where I can find it?

You can't play Multiplayer with regular civ2.You need MGE or Ultimate Civ collection(UK).

There is a hack that lets you plat hotseat with regular civ2 but not MP.

good news-you can find MGE for no more than $20 US.

Just wondering, havin the regular civ II, what would be better to buy, mge or fw? and how would it change the classic version on my comp? Would I still be able to use the scenarios I downloaded with them? or are they seperate programs for windows all together?

Depends on what you want to do.MGE comes bundled with Civ2,FW and CiC.It is it's own entity.The ai is screwy in MGE.Hostile.Makes a mess of many scenarios.No effect on your "classic" version at all.

Fantastic Worlds is an add-on for original civ2.It's claim to fame is scenarios and scenario editor(only the events editor is worth its weight).Most of the best scenarios out there are being done with FW.

So,IMO
Buy MGE for multiplay only.
If you like scenarios and solo play then go with original civ2+FW add-on
