I think you read that wrong. You can play once through and then submit your save. Then after you've submitted your save you can play the map as much as you want to. But only your original submission with no foreknowledge of the map counts.

I guess I should have tried harder then....when I was down to about 50 turns and 5-6 hours in...I just started churning out ICMBs and nuking every one out of bordem....lowered my score drastically...figured I could just play agian.
First...but I wouldnt have just nuked people for 35-40 turns and gotten just a time victory if I knew I couldnt play it agian
Or do you mean...uh...1.09 or whatever...
This is the first time ive ever participated in one of these things...I almost got the savegame thing wrong too ... if it hadnt of autosaved on the last turn I wouldnt have been able to go back, end the game, then hit "just one more turn" save it , etc etc....I shoulda read that first...

You are only allowed to play the same map once for HoF too
You can only submit one victory on any given map, this applies to anyone, once you've used the map no one else could submit it (not that this would ever be an issue with random maps). This differs from gotm in obvious ways.
So you can submit any number of different games on different maps for HOF inclusion.
