(My first SG)For newbies

Well, you should put it in your set when you pop a hut, even if it's deserted. Also, although Palace expansions seem to not have any effect on the game at all, it's still something you should put in, as it's kind of important.
P.S.
Did you remember to use placeholders for the settlers-in-production before popping the hut? You can't get settlers unless you don't have one existing or in production.

Turn 2 (190 AD):
Destroyed Bulto
Changed all Settler builds to a holder, pop hut for nothing.
Moving in on Asyut

Ok Maybe I wasn't completely clear on my Log.
But I did mention that I did change all Settlers builds and it was deserted.
However, I didn’t think we would get anything any ways. Being the only AA tech at the time we did not know was Monarchy. I did however do it in the hopes of Popping Barbs it would have harassed Monty.

OK.
Roster:
JJJSpider: Just Played
Elephantium: UP
Goodsmell: On Deck (Glad to see you back)
Choxorn:

In a Cross Post from Dimalio:
Starting in a new thread might not be such a bad idea. This Game doesn’t actually start until Page 7-8.
No skin off my nose if it stays here I know where it is.

Okay, I'm happy you welcome me back to the new roster .
let's rock !

Okay I see it now. Why wasn't it popped on turn 1?

I have never tried it like that before with an Archer from a Galley. I assumed it was like attacking a City so I landed the Archer Next to the Hut. However, thinking about it now that you mention it the unit popping the hut does not need an attack valve.
Gives me even an interesting Idea that you could even put a Scout on a galley, Pop the Hut jump back on the galley all in one turn. Provided it is not on a Hill or some other limiting factor.

lurker's comment: I don't think that would happen; whenever I've landed any other 'fast' unit it uses all movement turns in one go, and I don't see why a scout would be any different.

@JJJ: it does work- one of the huts I popped on my last set was from an archer in a galley.

If we'll play 10 turns it will be better I guess .

@Bucephalus: I was merely confirming he could pop huts from sea.
@JJJ: Well, we seem to be keeping a good enough pace right now, when it bogs down, we can decrease the turns per set number to 10.

Lurker:

You could make it optional so those that want to only do 10 can and those that are up for more could.

Pre-Flight (350AD):

MM to avoid food shortages in Washington.
Why in the name of all that is holy are there MINES on PLAINS squares? Especially right next to a river?

IBT:

Mustang Canal: Galley->Barracks
Steely Dan: Worker->Temple (sell after culture expansion)
The people love us. Our palace gets a new left wing.
Germans start Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Turn 1 (360AD):

Moved units towards Ft. Azteca in preparation for eventual war with them.
Switched Denver to Settler in anticipation of island colonization.
I warn Cleo about her forces menacing our borders. She makes up a lame excuse.
Russia is in Anarchy

IBT:
Egypt warns. We apologize.
Aztecs complain. We apologize.
Ivory Coast: Barracks->Marketplace
Springfield riots. Workers reassigned.
Cincinnati: Barracks->Marketplace

Turn 2 (370AD):
Dispersed barb camp near Swamp Horse.

IBT:

Miami riots. Workers reassigned. I am *far* too used to using the governor, and I missed Miami's growth last turn.

Turn 3 (380AD):

Zzzz...

IBT:

Fro Toe: Worker->Harbor

Turn 4 (390AD):

Change all current Barracks builds to Marketplaces in anticipation of Sun Tzu's. Hopefully we get it.
Our Galley glimpses the arctic ice cap near Liverpool!

IBT:

Egypt lands a settler near Swamp Horse.
Miami: Marketplace->Courthouse

Turn 5 (400AD):

Zzzz...

IBT:

Egypt founds Azyut at the landing site.
Elizabeth warns. We will move.
Atlanta: Marketplace->Library (not sure if this is the best move or not, but it looks better than training Regular military or getting a courthouse vs. 1 red shield and 2 red commerce)

Turn 6 (410AD):

Found Los Angeles NW of Swamp Horse. Making Temple for border expansion.
War with Egypt to remove Asyut seems prudent.

I have two Swordsmen (one regular, one Vet) and an Archer at hand to attack Asyut this turn. Egypt has a single Swordsman for defense.

Question 1:

Should I declare war now, or should we sit tight for a few turns?

Question 2: If I declare war now, should I attack in the same turn, or should I remove my forces from her borders before declaring?

Actually I still don't understand why you prefer build Library after marketplace at your 5th Turn, you said you don want reg military, then build rax . if you don't want that city to produce military because of corruption or something, then don't even think to build a Library there because it won't give you a benefit, it'll only take 1gpt from you . so you decide what is better for us ;)

oh forgot to mention my opinion about the war. where Egypt is actually located ? I mean the whole civ , if they're not in our continent then we can strike them before they bring more defensive units over there and we'll be losing military for nothing.

btw, Egypt polite to us ? we've any trades ? ( like, gpt`s trade, resources or luxuries ) if we've then we've to wait untill they'll over , because our reputation is very important now. IF WE DON'T HAVE A TRADES & THEY'RE NOT IN OUR CONTINENT, STRIKE EM NOW ! ;)

AFAIK, we have no trades. Elephantium, check the active trade screen to see. And no, they are not on our continent- they are on a small island nearby.

I didn't start on a 'rax because Sun Tzu's will give us one in every city if we pull it off, and I don't want to waste the shields. Would building more catapults be a better idea, do you think?

Egypt is Furious with us, probably because of the last war. I don't THINK we have any gpt deals, but I'm not sure how to check that (the Details tab in the F4 screen that I'm used to from C3C is missing).

Edit: Attached screenie. My inclination is to move our units out of Egyptian territory before declaring, but sneak attack could achieve our goals three turns sooner.
