My immediate UI wishlist

  • Quick repair

The environmental disasters are just f annoying, they feel just like they are here to make me do useless micro

For 2 tiles destroyed, number of click:
- click city
- click building to repair
-click the actual tile to repair
- click on the city again
- click building to repair
-click the actual tile to repair

Thats 6 clicks where 1 should be enough, and thats still a lot for action that feels not interesting

  • Make resources icon look different base of their type (empire, city, bonus)
  • buying in commune doesnt refresh what available to buy...
  • you need to click again on the city after replacing a rural amenagement with buildings
  • cant queue tech for some reason i cant comprehend
  • where can shoot range units isnt clear
There are plenty more

I'm assuming you're talking about resources here? They already have unique indicators in certain screens, e.g. the trade route screen.

Yeah my bad, I mean more, that is visible on the map too
Like having the icon color background or a different frame, because it's confusing when investing into a resource, you can even get a "resource to assign" notification but when go in the panel it's a empire one...

I've realised what's missing for me atm is a new turn sound/notification, they blend together too much without something alerting me that a turn has passed. I've almost thought there's bugs with things being finished sooner than they should be :P

I've kind of had this issue as well but on the other hand I feel like it might just be because AI turns are so quick. It's usually not even five seconds waiting. Although I'm not sure how much of that is because I'm playing on a brand new computer.

Version 5 update.

This version makes further layout adjustments and adds additional enhancements.
  • Completely refactored the script as all my additional queries were adding occasional lag to the tooltip
  • Moved Yields location back to default
  • Fixed bug where town city centers always showed "Specialized Town"
  • Now shows whether tile is Distant Lands
  • Changed how Rural districts and Improvements are displayed
  • Buildings flow horizontally rather than vertically
  • Added Specialist info for Urban tiles
  • Moved Fortification information to bottom of District section
  • Added tag for Full Tile buildings

Place the commander and arquebusier units side by side where the x's are so I don't have to scroll through them and have a clear idea of which unit I'm choosing, thus avoiding a hasty misclick moving the arquebusier forward and the chevalier backward (red arrow).

I'd like to know how many turns I've been in my celebration and when it ends.
You can see how many turns remain in the same place you can see how many turns until a celebration begins: on the government/policy overview panel.

It would be really nice for there to be a clear indication on the main screen that you are currently in one! Even if it's just a glowing effect on the Happiness yield at the top or something.

If you hover over the policies button it tells you how many turns you have left, or how many turns until the next one. Definitely would be nice to see those values without having to hover over them. Would even help when you get a narrative event, if I see my excess happiness is 100 per turn, and it's 5 turns to my next celebration, I know that picking the 300 happiness option should shrink that by 3 turns.

Oh my, there was a way to tell but hidden away like that... thanks! :crazyeye:

I'd really like being able to see each civilization's unique civic tree during the civ selection in age transition. Since most of the civ abilities are unlocked there, it would make it easier to choose your civilization without having to check that information on another screen. Being able to check your map would be great too.

Is there a possibility in the future to make a better fog of war? I find this much poorer than civ vi or v

even the icons of resources, military and technologies are not beautiful

I'm finding it really difficult to feel like I know where all my yields are coming from and how they're changing. Hopefully they'll add the ability hover over yields in the top bar for a breakdown again, ideally this time more detailed, including other % effects and sources.
