hates you.
I have almost completed it, but not quite yet. I just wanna get some feedback before releasing it.
When I started playing Civ3 I was quite annoyed with spearmen crushing my endless armies of modern armor. Since the integers in the editor can go to extremely high numbers, I realized that editing units more realistic was not out of the question.
For starters, stats for all ancient and middle aged units are kept the same. They are relatively balanced, and I don't possess the motivation to screw with their stats. The industrial and modern eras are where things begin to take shape.
All movement rates of ships are greatly increased. Destroyers, subs, nuclear subs, battleships, carriers, AEGIS cruisers and transports all have movements >8.
Tanks are now 24/18/3 (panzers are 4 movement)
Infantry are now 8/16/2
Modern armor are 36/24/4
Mech Infantry are 12/30/3
Lethal bombardment against naval units is engaged by artillary, radar artillary, jet fighters, bombers, stealth units, and industrial and modern naval units.
Cruise missiles now have a bombard of 32, range of 4, slightly increased cost.
Battleships and destroyers have increased stats (about 50% higher).
AEGIS cruisers have almost no attack, but a bombard of 16 range 4.
Radar artillary now has a bombard of 32.
The entire point of this mod is to keep the balance in industrial and moderns times roughly similar to default, but to give them an advantage against early units. Realistically, spears should be unable to pierce 18 inch laminate armor on an M1 Abrams MBT.
Please give me all feedback and suggestions (and if YOU are even interested in playing this mod).
PS Workers have double the movement.
PPS Persians are now Canadian because I am a Canadian. But most of you already know that
