My stance on pre-orders and Civ VI

I know we are all excited about Civ VI. So am I. That being said, I have a stance on pre-orders, and what I believe developers should do. If you have some interest feel free to check out my video and get my side of things.

With all the coverage of youtubers just playing games pre-release, I rarely have many qualms about pre-ordering. These days it is pretty obvious when a game is trash, or when its vaguely acceptable.

I don't usually preorder. I did this time in order to get the Aztecs, but I waited until this week to do it. It's practically the same as a day 1 purchase.

Pre ordering has been discussed to death. Everyone knows it bad, but still pre ordering is stronger than ever. It's just the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't.

I pre-order games I know I'd buy anyway. But I'm choosy and that has saved me countless times. The last game I pre-ordered was XCom 2.
