Mycenae City Style

Buildings already have smooth texture, I was thinking to leave only white material with no texture at all to do this what you are saying about but the little black rash you can see over the building is just lack of ambient occlusion I have used to speed up my render. When I'll be happy with this set then quality will be similar to previous style you have put in your game.

Ok, that's my new set, pcx's later in the evening.

I would enlarge the civ sized ones a bit, around 25% perhaps?

Hmm but buildings would have different sizes that city's or palace's sizes.

I thought it look to small, I will extend it definitely about few buildings plus add darker roofs in next pcx's probably tomorrow.

Next one, possibly last one. Roof texture light decreased about 30%, village extended about few buildings. Pcx's later this evening.

Okay, since we're all shifting to new city styles now, are your buildings compatible in size with Kyriakos'? Good work, btw. ;)

Thanks!

Before I wanted make something like Kyriakos so I started doing this way but inefficiently, then decided to juggle with option and results you can yourself :)

I wanted make my buildings similar to Kyriakos and him to mine, so probably sizes match each other... more less :)

Ready to use pcx's at the top of this tread. Have fun!

Looks great :)

I think that the textures are a bit on the busy side, and in this scale possibly a simpler texture (one for walls and one for top of the buildings) would possibly look better. (?)

I love this set and your other set. One small thing. This set looks a little cartoonish or like a drawing compared with your other set. I'm not sure why but your other set looks more realistic. Just a minor thing and I'd still use them both.

Really... I used exactly the same technics to make both, I guess it must something about materials.

I was modelling from this image.

This is a very minor point, so only take it for what it's worth. In the large previews the fortification walls clearly have a stone texture. In the game size previews the same walls look smooth. If you like the smoother look you don't need such a complex texture. If you want the stony look you can try exaggerating the contrast & brightness of the image file for the texture or else scaling up the texture relative to the model.

your cities are some of the best I've seen in a long time. I'm certainly not the only one who eagerly awaits the day when you start taking requests.
