Naming Cities and pillaging barbarians

Two weird issues...

Whenever I found a city and the "name city" dialog pops up, the screen shifts to center on the next unit instead of staying on the city. This is annoying because I often name cities based on terrain or resources in the area and I can't see them when the focus shifts to a faraway unit.

When a barbarian moves onto an improvement and I send unit to kill it, I get the "screaming populace" sound and the notification that the improvement was destroyed AFTER the barbarian is already dead (and after all the other units have moved) which is a bit weird and makes you wonder if there are new barbarians you didn't see.

Timing of game messages for sure is a mess.
Sometimes you get the message of expanding borders AFTER you already have adjusted the city screen.
Lord, this thing really is bug loaded.
