I like:

"Socio-Political Debate" defines exactly what should be there, Social and Political debate...
"The Arena" sounds good too but less defining

I am firmly against this, but the names are fine.

I see no reason why they should split. Them being together isn't too bad. If its too much of a mod-load, just appoint more. I think having debating threads next to silly threads encourages members to go from one to the other, getting lots of new debaters.

As I pmed to you and posted in another thread...I too want a new forum called "News & Politics" while leaving Off-Topic for more general, off the wall, vague, random topics...
