It's his site and if he wants it to go a certain way then who are you to dictate what should be done with his site.

I am not dictating, I just have my own typical style of giving my opinion. It indeed is TF's call!

I'm planning to remake OT so that lurkers and fun-lovers will actually come out to participate, while you politics-types can have your own forum as well.

If it is inevitable, we should do the following:

-close the poll thread
-debate about a possible split-up in this thread
-XIII comes up with a final plan, including a clear description of what is what.
-Bring this vote to election.

CFC is a benevolent dictatorship, pal. The last guy talking about imposing 'democratic' procedures into CFC operations was booed out of existense, IIRC...

If it has to be done, we should realize that it should be clear: If there is one thing XIII doesn't not want (I guess), it is moving threads all the time. OT stays OT and an extra forum could be added:

That's my plan, more or less.

Ok then that's my mistake I just assumed that XII HAD talked to TF about it and had gotten his OK.

His exact last words on the last proposed new 'current issues' forum - "Well if you want to give it a try again, just let me know."

I was the one putting a stop to it, when TF was minutes away on the verge of creating the new forum the last time.

To me it makes more sense to make a well-thought plan first and vote then, iso vote first and then make a plan how to do it exactly.

Personally, if a new forum were to appear, I would prefer it be more like a soft-core spawning place for noobs to build up confidence until they were ready to go on to the glory that is OT, raw and unadulterated (you know what I mean....), but if OT must be split, here are my suggestions-

Hmmm, As I have posted before: it must be clear. Not that I want that so bad, but otherwise our beloved mods will probably be busy shifting threads all the time.

Arena may sound good, but what should be in it and what not?
Same for serious / fun. When an Australian PM sais gays do not contribute to the existance of humanity, the first thing I do, is laughing my ass off.... The following debate should be in the serious division.

I think that things will be clear when the title (and thus not only the subtitle, no one actually reads that) is simply what it is about..
Not a vague description like dark/light, serious/fun, current/passed....

My idea: politics and religion go into this new thread. Da rest stays OT. The forum could be named "politics and religion Arena / Senate / Forum / Place / Ban-fishing-area"

Should there be more topics, except politics and religion in this new forum? I can't think of any. Anyone else?
