Naming the new forum...

I would name them Off-Topic and Politics/Crossfire.

or.......
Coke and Pepsi. Coke being the serious one and pepsi has all the Fluff.

Vanilla and Chocolate. Vanilla is boring reiligious/political and chocolate is fun stuff.

Ying and Yang.... I dont know which is which but one is good and the other not too good.

Felix and Oscar. Felix is the straight religion/politics and Oscar is the cool fun other stuff.

The House of Commons (fluffy) and The House of Lords (debate)

This will enable me to feel superior.

Otherwise, it should be named something to with Civ like:

The U.N. and the Great Library.

How DARE you imply Gilligan was gay (not that theres anything wrong with that). Gilligan was just a little slow thats all. The Professor was obviously the gay one. Anyway, so I dont get a tongue lashing (not that theres anything wrong with that) for being OT, here are my ideas if OT being hacked to bits is a done deal:

No your idea about the science forum reminds me of what my old professor said Was Not always a true fact, albeit a lighthearted even a Gay idea.
Professor Gilligan i think his name Was, once said that The truly happy or Gay person was a scienctific One

Cant believe what I just read! I know you dont wish me any harm, but I think I should gingerly reply to your statements and tread carefully here. First of all, I dont like being treated like Typhoid Mary merely because we dissagree. Im no Anne Boleyn, to be casually decapitated and silenced. If all members of this forum were treated in such a fashion, the number of members would decline rapidly. As Gay Talese once said " If ones honor is questioned, be bold."

Um, yes it does.

It certainly doesn't suggest people are in favour of the change (they are in the minority). And to push through such a major change would surely require more than a simple majority anyway.

The number of votes are in favour of keeping things as they are.

There have been very few decent arguments for the new forums when compared with the arguments against.

Call the one thing "Off Topic" and the other one "Spam", then deactivate post count in the spam forum. Ban everyone who posts one line posts or even smiley posts in any other forum than the spam forum.

Then split the spam forum into "Spam" and "Booyah" forums just for the sake of splitting forums.

I don't want a split of the off topic. But if we are forced to have it, no matter how many people say no, then I would sugest these names:

Serious off-topic: Straight debate.
Not-serious off-topic: Gay talking.


btw... religion shouldn't come under Serious Off topic, it should be under Humor and Jokes forum....
