Turn 1, Fall 2004
Industrialization begins in eastern Germany after years of communist rule have hurt it. Already the Germany economy is being helped.
The French economy takes a huge tumble, however, the French army is starting to become extremely well-organized and trained. However, this has sparked the anger of many left-leaners who demonstrate in Paris, Marseilles, Lyon, and Bordeaux against military spending.
A similar incident happens in America, with more anti-missle systems coming into place. Protests occur in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, and there is a march on the Mall in Washington, DC to protest military spending.
Suicide bombings continue in Iraq, killing and insignificant amount of people. However, there are worries that this violence could escalate. Also, resistance in the British sector of Iraq is lessening with a huge propaganda campaign and large amounts of troop deployments. There are relatively quiet protests to the troop deployments across the UK.
American ships spotted off the coast of Israel, apparently assisting Israelis. There are rumors that American troops are stationed in Israel, prompting a series of terrorist attacks at US bases around the Middle East, none of which are successful.
The US continues to search for terrorists and links to terrorists all over the world. Now breakthroughs have been made yet, but it is expected one will come soon.
Suicide bombings in Israel kill 50! Suicide bombers struck almost simultaneously in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv killing over 50 people. The leadership of Hamas claims responsibility for this attack, justifying it by saying Israelis are building military forces near the West Bank.
British economy is hurt because of military spending, but excellent programs plus the influx of foreign trade lessen the impact.
Syria pulls men out of the Golan Heights, effectively relinquishing the claim to Israel, who already controls most of it. Back in Damascus, scientists are hard at work, but at what, no one knows.
Left-wing action rips through Saudi Arabia. Progressives and moderates start to rise up against the government, who brutally puts down the uprisings, leading some nations to question the Saudi governments morals.
Swaziland and Lesotho join with South Africa as an all-black government takes power in South Africa. However, this has angered some of the whites, who protest, many violently.
China overwhelms Burma and Mongolia, taking relatively light casualties. However, military spending on bombers has hurt the Chinese economy, leading many to question the aging regimes leadership.
