Narz Monthly Civ Challange #6 : November/December!

Now in the late 1770's -- the Russians, Mongols, English and Egyptians are all gone. The Americans are down to four cities and the Zulus have lost a couple, but still have over a dozen left. Well, my early objectives have been met, now it is time to bring this home.

Narz -- I should get my game to you tonight. All but the Zulus are gone & they deserve a pounding...

I have a question for ya Narz,
I played this game and thought I was doin OK. I saw the AI building space ships and thought nothing of it, after all once I take their capital the ship crashes. So why didn't they crash when I took their capital? Was this part of the scenario or am I missing something. Once I realized this, I just gave up, My plan had been to let the AI grow and then assimilate there cities. When the ships didn't crash, there was no way to take over the world before the first ship landed.
Just curious.
Thanks

If the government escapes, then a new capital is made automatically so the ship doesn't crash. Don't worry I have had very simliar problems in the last GOTM. I don't know the maths behind it but it sure was annoying.

I knew that a new capital was made ONLY if the AI has more that $1000, but I didn't think they could move there space program that easily. Guess I chould have figured that out by myself. Thanks for the input.

If the AI civ has more than $1000 the capital is moved automatically, along with control of the spaceship. If you don't know how much they got, slip a Dip in and establish an embassy (even if you are at war). If they have just a bit more, take a few other cities first to get them below 1000, then take out the capital. This can be very tricky if you are trying to do a Democracy at War...

Sorry for the major delay, I have been away... but I'm back and have ranked everyone. Congrats to Old n' Slow, the winner of the final NMCC! Its been a lot of fun hosting these and thanks to all who've participated over the last six months. :goodjob: I will now be putting most of my creative energy into learning programming and Flash and designing my game (and trying to make a living ;)). Its been real!
