Narz's non-offical causal chess.com double round robin

I'm going to wait a few more days to see. Which is fine with me since I haven't been feeling at my sharpest lately (real life stress, etc.). Just played in a 4-week long RL tourney and only got 1.5 out of 4 (despite being over a pawn ahead in each of my two games against 1800+'s [I'm 1475 USCF]).

What's with all these people losing on time!!! What happened to Ur_Vile_Wedge?

Well "feinthart" is actually Lady_Of_PLeisure is disguise. She started a second account cause someone was harassing her on her original one. Sadly looks like they closed and locked both of her accounts now. :(

Weird that she doesn't lose immediately or become disqualified from the tourney when her account is locked. Kind of stupid really.

As for Ur_Vile_Wedge, I don't know what they heck happened to him. Too bad, he seemed like a fairly decent player from our one full game together (though he did quit really early, I gained a one pawn advantage and he resigned).

Crap! Batok sucked a draw out of this one :(. I need to start looking for counterplay for my opponent before assuming I have a quick win.

I analysed 27 ... Nd5 28. BxN pxB 29. f5 (and if B takes than R sac followed by the other R over to the h-file) but not the simple 27. ... Bb7. I suppose it was rather cowardly of my to invite the draw with 28. Rf2 (instead Rg3 maybe?) but I was all of a sudden very displeased with my position and not thinking straight. I probably should've played 28. Rg3, huh?

Haven't spent any time on it, just flipped through the moves quickly but I'm not sure about Rg3 what about Nf5 (followed by Ne3 perhaps but maybe Rxg6+ works, I don't have time to look to much at it before work)? If Qg5 maybe Qc6 could be annoying. If there's one thing I have learned it is to NEVER underestimate my opponents chances. That's why you sometimes see me being worried in +10 positions while annotating my own games.

Frankly I think 27. Rf2 might be a better way to go.

I just lost to Peterlx in the stupidest fashion. I made a blunder and I got my queen and rook pinned. :( I guess I won't make moves at night anymore. :cringe: I should have learned that making moves when you're tired isn't good. At least I didn't do something stupid like that in the official tourney.
