That's another very good flag Rik. I have to say I prefer Furiey's though.
What in particular in Furiey's flag is better ?

It's a personal preference. I like its symmetry and simplicity, the lack of emblems appeals to me.
That said, I like the way you put the rose in one canton. It looks good.

I got a request to remove the cross-overs.

I like this one, just with two changes:
1) The white background looks... plain. It's lacking real color. Well, it's actually lacking a color scheme. I like the way the compass looks. Any possibility we can make the whole flag shades of blue and grey?
2) Can you also put the compass in the middle, but add smaller versions of the rose to each cornor of the flag?
1. Blue and grey are rather drab colors. White has the advantage that almost every other color, except light colors like silver or violet, shows up well against it. Keep the background white.Strider said:

I like this design more than the standard Union Jack. We really don't need the UJ, we are playing England after all, not the whole UK. I would rather have the English cross (which Furiey has). Perhaps we could add a rose into one of the corners. That, in my mind, is all we really need for a flag.Furiey said:

Instead of forcing poor Rik to design multiple versions of his flag, can we decide on what version we actually want? I prefer the one below:

We could add a new theme every Term, so by the beginning og Term 2, we add a new feature relevant to the history of Term One.

we dont need to design the flag for now we just need a basic template. The actions of our civilisation will draw the flag for us throught time .
As i said , after all great events , just open a thread with 'Do we need to update our flag'
