Need help with my first scenario ever

Hello,

I've created my very first civ iv scenario by basically altering an existing scenario I found online. It is just a basic european map, extended to the east a little bit. There are like 12 or 13 civs, in their traditional starting locations.

That's it.

Everytime I try to play it, it crashes right after you pick your nation and click launch game. I've worked hard to try to figure out what I'm doing wrong but I've not been able to figure it out.

Can anyone download my scenario and open it up, take a brief look at the notepad file and let me know what I might be doing wrong? It's got to be something very obvious because this is my first attempt.

Although you only play with 13 Civs, you need to have 18 slots available (from 0 to 17) both in the Team and Player sections.

I suggest that you take a look at this tutorial for example.

Thank you so much for your response. I noticed that my thread was viewed about 60 times before anyone downloaded my file.

I wasn't aware that I needed to have all 17 slots. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm also about to read the tutorial that you posted.

Just so you know, I'm a longtime civ fan. I've been playing ever since I was about 9 years old using Civ 2. I basically give credit to civilization games or sparking all of my interest in business, politics, history, and government. Civilization games definitely changed my life and helped mold me into who I am today.

Given all this, I had never actually created my own Civ IV scenario because of the difficulty associated with worldbuilder. It wasn't until this week that I discovered that I could do it all in notepad.
