Need some suggestions and ideas please

My current Civ 3 game is going ok. However, I have no horse resources so I am stuck using legions and pikemen. I need to get horses to use knights. My main problem is I just got done with a 3 front war (I was doing good but the people got tired of war). So I had to end the war with egypt and china (to the north) and greece (to the south). I pushed the egyptian-chinese army back north after they invaded and destroyed some greek units.

My question is, I must eventually war these three countries again, but not all at once right? I am thinking take out greece first because they are isolated to the south and stay defensive in the northern areas. Could someone tell me if this plan will work?

Also, I desperately need horses, what are the ways I can aquire horses besides resources (and where will they be, in fields?)

Horses are in grasslands and hills. CTRL + SHIFT +M clears the cities and allows you to see resources. You can trade for them or take them. The Greeks have the hoplite defense of 3 so they will be tough, if you have catapults build them to help your legionaires. try to avoid a 3 front war if possible. Try to keep the chinese away from horses if you can.

Horses won't show up on your map until you have researched the right tech (Horseback riding) so if you skipped the tech the little horses won't appear. It's one of those techs that you can skip and still move on to the Middle Ages. But that's the reason not to skip it.
