Let me first start by saying this is a great game and I love it. Got it when it first came out and never had any problems until today.

I started a new game on adventurer level, pirates sunset. I started in Campeche so I sailed up to Havana. I thought it was odd not to see a fort outside of Havana so I checked the map for info on the city. I couldn't believe what I saw so I attempted to attack the town. It said the city had -2250 soldiers. How this happened I do not know, but I decided to capitalize on it. I went in and attacked. It went immediately to a fencing scene against 1 lonely guard. I beat him in no time flat -- easiest 11,600 gold I ever got :DD

So I decided to keep capturing the city. I turned it into every nationality, getting promoted by the governor each time until I made it back to Spanish, then he was happy that I installed a governor in havana, but mad that I sacked Havana.

Anyways, every time I attacked their soldier count plunged deeper into negatives. I saved the game and screenshot. Very interesting. I havent been able to duplicate it in any other game.

I love funny bugs like that. Good Fun.

I suggest you post the save game too. Someone from Fraxis may be interested.

Ahh... if only stuff like this happens in my games. I wonder if this bug could affect troops numbers positively though :hmm:
Imagine having to fight 2000++ soldiers

In binary system, numbers after largest declared are all negative

for instance, biggest number is 0111
then 1000 is negative

Only if they are using a signed data type. It seems like the number of soldiers should be an unsigned int, but who knows what they used...
