neither patch nor new movie files stop the stuttering

I'm running an Nvidia 5700 card on XP Pro with a gig of ram and a 3ghz P-4 processor. My wonder movies still stutter horribly even after the latest patch and new low-res movies. My AA is set to off and I'm running low video settings at 1200x1024. The game plays ok apart from that. Any suggestions?

Edit the Civ4 ini file so the movies play at 16bit rather than 32bit. Have screenshots enabled in this file also and all other movie settings set to 0. Also, through the nvidia control panel found through the Display control panel switch the quality to 'Performance'. Hopefully, it might smooth things out alittle more.

Try lowering the screen resolution to 1024*768

Also, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your gfx card
