I have no idea why but there was one turn where no matter what I did, the game crashed. I have not updated the game yet. I was able to save the game as a scenerio and then play it as that scenerio. It was not that big of a deal because I was just teching quickly to get to future era. Just thought you might want have an idea.

I was not building any armored cars, but the AI may have. However, I have played the new scenerio and nothing wrong has happened. Any ideas?
 
i got the same with one of my saves, never quite figured out what happened. pissed me off at the time, as well.....
 
I never get crashes when im playing lol. If you upload a save I can look at it. I bet it was the armoured car bug though. So if you get a crash with the new version upload please
 
when my savegame crashed, it wasn't the armoured car bug. well, at least i wasn't building any, maybe the AI was building one and it crashed.
 
I have yet to reach the modern era in my games. I won a domination and religious victory around the time I get riflemen and cavalry. I have to play Standard Maps since larger maps give me MAF's.
 
Maybe I'm being a n00b, but it seems like it's not possible to play this MP and not get out of synch errors - I get that with several mods. Is this a common problem?

Search the CIV4-Modpacks forum for a thread called RevolutionDCM multiplayer or RevDCM multiplayer. If all players have this mod then multiplayer should work if you follow that thread.
 
I had the same problem happen again about 20 turns into the new scenerio. I went and looked at the xml for the armored car. Is the problem that the first line was not indented over? I did that so it lined up, so I have started playing again with no problems. Is that what the problem was?

Finally got where I could build the cure for cancer without problems.
 
Good mod so far (first time playing it through). However, it crashes when Armoured Car gets to the top of a build queue - either when I try to build it on its own or after everything above it gets built.

Also, have you considered adding some of the intermediate naval units from some other mods? (e.g. steelclads, destroyer escort) I always thought jumping straight from frigate to destroyer was a bit sudden.

Ah, sorry. Looks like I downloaded it while you were in the process of fixing it a few days ago. I'll download the latest and see if that works.
 
When i launch the mod and enter the game i get this message accross the top of the screen : failed writing INI file ':\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\ Beyond the Sword\Neoteric World\ User Settings\ BUG Core. ini'

I can keep playing the game but there are about 5 of those messages in the middle of the screen and they wont go away. Any Idea how to fix this?

Btw looking forward to playing the mod I'm sure its going to be Great!

Right click your shortcut and select properties, compatability and select run as administrator.
If you dont have a shortcut or want an easier way to select mods, I advise downloading version 2 of this

Thanks BB this worked. Im playing the mod right now and so far its great. No issue's so far, but its only 130 AD. Playing on marathon. Looks like people where reporting a issue with the armored car, was wondering if that was fixed. I downloaded the version you had posted yesterday.

If its not fixed i just wont build any.

Anyway great work loving the mod , looks like you put alot of time and effort into it and where lucky to have people like you and the rest of the modding community doing such great work. Been playing since Civ2 and its my fav. game by far.
 
Has anyone gotten to the point to build acrologies yet or acrology shieldings yet?

I just got there and built one in my captial and it is huge. I mean the art work literally takes up an area the size of 20 tiles, but the worst part is that the acrologies from every city overlap, so the whole world looks like it is covered in these things.

Anyone know how to fix this? I remember in next war that they took up just one tile around each city, and I did not mind that as they looked cool. However, when each one takes up dozens of tiles around my cities it makes it hard to do anything.

Right now I found a way to disable their art work but was wondering how I could fix it so they were scaled back down.

Also I can confirm after downloading the new file last night that the armored car is fixed so you can build them. If you have not downloaded the new version, I believe even if the AI builds them, your game crashes (was in my case).

Still is a great mod.
 
Bigv32 thanks for the update on the aromored car appreciate the info.

As for the acrologies shieldings havent gotten that far yet. Still in the 6th Century. Will let you know if I have any problems. In case i run into the same problem you had with them, how did you disable the art work for them?
 
I went into the modular art work for buildings and changed one of the lines to 10x10. Sorry I do not have the exact line name because i am not home. I do remember it is the same line as the center for desease control but for that building it says 3x3 instead of acrology. I just changed the word acrology to 10x10 to see what happened and it went away.

If you want to see if you have the same problem, just go to world builder and put one in your cities.

NOTE: I had to disable the artwork for the basic arcrology and the next two versions of it (shielding and deflectors shielding I think)
 
sometimes i select siege weapons or warships and the ranged bombardment button is not there. i have to use CTRL+ALT+O , disable ranged bombardment, exit options, reenter options, enable ranged bombardment, and then de-select and re-select the siege weapon. i think it might be happening with other mod features (like the "Enables bombers to bomb city buildings and other missions" feature, which i never seem to be able to use), which leads me to believe that i might be missing some cool features. any thoughts?
 
I have a bug to report. When I tell a civilization to "cease bothering us", I still get negative modifiers from not giving tribute or helping them; also, when I load a game, the "cease bothering us" option is reset if I had told a civilization to stop contacting me. The first part I think was reported a while ago, and it is still there in the newest version.
 
PI I have found that you have to push the cease bothering us button twice tll it says we wish to resume talks. If you only push it once, they still talk to you.

As far as it resetting when you reload, that I can not answer.

MayKay, as for the rangd bombardment, do you have the naval bombardment on as well? I think both have to be on in order for it to work all the time.
