Treaty of Tehran:
British Empire is to help Persia modernise by sending advisors.
British Empire receives favorable trade rights.
British Empire guarantees our independence (specially from an attack from Russia)
This treaty lasts 3 turns, after which can be renewed, altered or droped.

Every modern nation already trades between each other. Therefore we will make a greater offer to you. The development of the Greater Zollverein, mainly to remove internal customs barriers, although upholding a protectionist tariff system with foreign trade partners. This will make trade between all members more profitable, encourage trade and ensure that our national production finds markets among our nations. The Netherlands has already accepted and we are also going to ask the three crowns confederation to join. All members must be liberal and democratic states of europe (this includes true constitutional monarchies)

We find ourselfs increasingly threatened by the Russian Empire. As we speak, Russian diplomats are demanding that we back away and simply accept 'our place' in the russian sphere of influence. Or worse!.

I held out for much longer the second time. Fighting off multiple invasion fronts again. And a vacation spoiled it all again (plus silver assassinating Suleiman III).You didn't have much warning the first time, but the second one was inexcusable.Also, I have imagination...but a federal Germany didn't really appeal to me.
